OTHER SIDE OF THE BRIDGE

OTHER SIDE OF THE BRIDGE

listed as "Joe Stevens"

Released in 2006, 'Other Side of the Bridge' was the first solo album from singer/songwriter Joe Stevens after the breakup of his highly successful band, Something Phonic. Much of the album was written while he was enjoying a musical residency on the tropical island of Koh Tao, Thailand. The songs retained their warm, beachy vibe when he moved back to Oshkosh and began recording in his home studio. Along with the new music, he recorded updated versions of songs written while in SoPho, as well as covers by the Beatles, Bob Marley, and the Beach Boys. The album primarily features acoustic instuments mixed with vintage synth sounds, all played by Joe.

Shortly after the release of this album, Joe joined up with Dave Jerabek and Mike Underwood to form 'The Operators'.
